Jesus, Our High Priest is the One who stands forever before God on our behalf. Dear brothers and sisters who are being blessed by the glorious God, may the blessing of our Great High Priest rest upon you all. May His presence strengthen you, His grace sustains you, and His love fill your heart with hope.

Hebrews 7:13-17 teaches us that our Lord Jesus Christ is the Great High Priest. He was born from the tribe of Judah. The priests under the old covenant were to come from the tribe of Levi, but Jesus became a High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek.

The former high priests were many because they eventually died, and therefore other high priests had to be appointed. But Jesus, Our High Priest, lives forever. His priesthood never changes, because He remains forever. He continually lives to intercede for those who come to God through Him. Hebrews 7:22-25

Jesus, Our High Priest Who Remains Faithful.

When we look at the ministry of Jesus, Our High Priest, we see a Savior who is not distant from us. He saves, intercedes, teaches, forgives, heals, blesses, listens, delivers, and shows compassion. He is the High Priest we can trust completely.

• 1. Jesus, Our High Priest, is Mighty to Save and Continually Intercedes for Us. He is the High Priest who is mighty to save and who continually intercedes on our behalf. His priesthood does not end, and His care for those who come to God through Him never ends. Hebrews 7:24-25
• 2. Jesus, Our High Priest, Is Perfectly Suited for Us. He is the High Priest who is perfectly suited for us. Everything about Him is holy, pure, and righteous, and He is exactly the High Priest we need. Hebrews 7:26
• 3. Jesus, Our High Priest, Taught with Authority. He is the High Priest who taught with authority. He is the Great Teacher whose words carry divine authority and truth. Mark 1:22; Mark 10:27
• 4. Jesus, Our High Priest, Forgives and Does Not Condemn. He is the High Priest who forgives. Luke 7:48 He is also the High Priest who does not condemn. John 8:11 His response to broken people reveals the mercy and grace of God.
• 5. Jesus, Our High Priest, Teaches Us to Forgive. He is the High Priest who taught us to forgive those who wrong us, not merely a few times, but seventy-seven times. Matthew 18:22 His teaching calls us to reflect the same spirit of forgiveness that we have received from Him.
• 6. Jesus, Our High Priest, Raises the Dead and Gives Life. He is the High Priest who raised the dead and gave them life. Mark 5:41-42; Luke 7:14-15. Where there seems to be no hope, Jesus, Our High Priest, has the power to bring life.
• 7. Jesus, Our High Priest, Heals. He is the High Priest who heals. Luke 22:51, His compassion reaches even those who are wounded and hurting.
• 8. Jesus, Our High Priest, Blesses. He is the High Priest who blesses His people. Luke 24:50 His hands are not raised to destroy His people, but to bless them.
• 9. Jesus, Our High Priest, Is the Great High Priest. He is not merely another priest. He is the Great High Priest. Hebrews 4:14, This is the One we confess, trust, and hold firmly to in faith.
• 10. Jesus, Our High Priest, Opens Ears and Listens. He is the High Priest who opened ears. Mark 7:34 He is also the High Priest who listened. Mark 9:24-25, He hears the cry of the heart and responds with compassion.
• 11. Jesus, Our High Priest, Does Not Condemn. He is the High Priest who did not condemn. John 8:1, His grace gives the broken a new beginning.
• 12. Jesus, Our High Priest, Is the Faithful and True Witness. He is the Faithful and True Witness. Revelation 3:14 He is completely trustworthy. His words are true, His promises are faithful, and His character never changes.
• 13. Jesus, Our High Priest, Carries Us Close to His Heart. He is the High Priest who rests upon His breast. Revelation 1:13 He is also the High Priest who carries us upon His breast and upon His shoulders. Exodus 28:13, 29 This reminds us of the tender care and faithful responsibility He has toward His people. Jesus, Our High Priest, carries us close to His heart.
• 14. Jesus, Our High Priest, Sets Us Free. He is the High Priest who sets the captives free and brings deliverance. Luke 4:19 His ministry brings freedom, hope, and restoration to those who are bound.
• 15. Jesus, Our High Priest, Shows Compassion. He is the High Priest who showed compassion.Luke 7:13

His heart is moved by human suffering. Jesus, Our High Priest, does not look at our pain with indifference. He sees, He cares, and He responds with compassion.

The Other High Priests

When we compare Jesus, Our High Priest, with the other high priests, the difference becomes clear. Their hearts and actions revealed rejection, jealousy, anger, cruelty, and hardness, while Christ revealed grace, compassion, forgiveness, and mercy.

• 1. The High Priests Who Plotted to Put Jesus to Death. They were the high priests who planned to put Jesus to death. Matthew 27:1 They rejected Him.
• 2. The High Priests Who Were Filled with Jealousy. They were high priests who were filled with jealousy. Acts 5:17
• 3. The High Priests Who Commanded the Apostles Not to Teach. They were the high priests who commanded the apostles not to teach. Acts 5:29
• 4. The High Priests Who Could Not Forgive. They were the high priests who could not forgive. John 8:4 They became filled with anger and sought to kill. Acts 5:33
• 5. The High Priests Who Became Angry They were high priests who became angry.
• 6. The High Priests Who Pronounced the Sentence of Death. They were the high priests who pronounced the sentence of death. Matthew 26:66; Mark 3:6
• 7. The High Priests Who Wounded and Struck Him. They were the high priests who wounded and struck Him. Matthew 26:67–68; Acts 23:2
• 8. The High Priests Who Mocked, Insulted, and Abused Him. They were the high priests who mocked Him, insulted Him, and treated Him with contempt. Luke 22:63-65
• 9. The High Priest Who Was Like a Whitewashed Wall. He was the high priest who was described as a whitewashed wall. Acts 23:4
• 10. The High Priests Who Closed Their Ears. They were the high priests who closed their ears. Acts 7:57
• 11. The High Priests Who Stoned and Killed. They were the high priests who stoned and killed. Acts 7:58
• 12. The High Priests Who Used False Witnesses. They were the high priests who used false witnesses and gave money to obtain false testimony.
• 13. The High Priest Who Tore His Garments. He was the high priest who tore his garments. Matthew 26:65
• 14. The High Priests Who Bound Him. They were the high priests who bound Him. John 18:35
• 15. The High Priests Who Had Hardened Hearts. They were the high priests who had hardened hearts. Mark 3:5 Our Great High Priest

Dear believers in the Lord, Jesus, Our High Priest, is great. He is perfectly suited for us, and He continually intercedes for us. He is not a High Priest who changes with time. He lives forever, and His priesthood never ends.

When we look at Jesus, Our High Priest, we see the One who saves us, forgives us, heals us, blesses us, listens to us, carries us, delivers us, and shows compassion toward us. He is our faithful and true Witness, our Great High Priest, and our eternal Intercessor.

May Almighty God grant you the blessedness of becoming like such a High Priest, living as priests and reigning as kings for His glory. May your life reflect His compassion, His forgiveness, His holiness, and His love.

May Jesus, Our High Priest, continually strengthen your faith, carry you through every trial, and lead you safely into the presence of God. May the blessing of our Great High Priest rest upon you and your family. May the Lord bless you abundantly and make you a blessing to many. Amen..
