Who do you think created this beautiful creation? Yes, it is God who made it. It’s a wonderful God’s Creation. The earth we live on and the nature that surrounds us are truly His creation. To say it clearly, this is God’s creation, a wonderful masterpiece filled with purpose and beauty. Who would not think about this wonderful creation of God? You also think about it, right?
So many beautiful and colourful flowers, the birds that fly in the sky, the different kinds of fish in the waters — when we look around, there are countless wonders in God’s creation. Do you remember the order in which God created everything? Let us look at God’s creation step by step.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the deep waters, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Truly, this beginning shows the greatness of God’s creation.
1. The first thing God created was Light, the Beginning of God’s creation
God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. He saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness. He called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” Evening and morning passed; that was the first day. (Genesis 1:3–5)
2. In God’s Creation – On the second day, God created the sky.
God said that the waters should be separated, the waters above and the waters below. And it happened just as He said. He made the expanse between the waters and called it “sky.” Evening and morning passed, the second day.
3. On the third day, God created land, seas, grass, plants, and trees.
God gathered the waters under the sky into one place, and dry land appeared. He called the dry land “earth” and the gathered waters “seas.” Then God made grass, plants bearing seeds, and trees bearing fruit of all kinds. Evening and morning passed, the third day.
4. On the fourth day, God created the sun, moon, and stars.
God said there should be lights in the sky to separate day from night and to mark seasons, days, and years. He made two great lights, a greater light (the sun) to rule the day and a lesser light (the moon) to rule the night. He also made the stars and set them in the sky to give light on the earth. Evening and morning passed, the fourth day. All these heavenly bodies are wonderful parts of God’s creation.

5. Fifth day of God’s Creation, God created sea creatures and birds.
God created every living creature that moves in the waters according to their kinds, and He created the birds to fly above the earth. He blessed them, saying they should multiply and fill the waters and the skies. Evening and morning passed; the fifth day.
6. On the sixth day, God created animals and human beings.
God made animals of every kind, livestock, wild animals, and all creatures that move along the ground. He saw that it was good.
God then created human beings in His own image and likeness. He created male and female. He gave them authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the animals, and every living thing on the earth. God also gave them seed-bearing plants and fruit trees as food. God saw everything He had made, and it was very good. Evening and morning passed, the sixth day. Humans are the most precious part of God’s creation.
7. God completed creation and rested on the seventh day.
God finished all His work, the heavens, the earth, and everything in them. On the seventh day He rested from His work. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on that day He rested from all the work of creation.
We should always praise God for God’s creation.
We should always praise God for God’s creation. With just His spoken word, He created everything: the sky, the sun, the moon, the stars, the earth, water, plants, trees, birds, fish, insects, everything we see in nature is His work. (Psalm 8:3)
Have you noticed how wonderfully He arranged everything? Not only that, He made you and me with His own hands in His own likeness. When we think about how our bodies are formed, how we are shaped in our mother’s womb, it is truly amazing. Such a great God deserves our praise forever. His name is glorious in all the earth. (Psalm 8:9)
We must continually praise Him because He gave all this creation to us. (Psalm 136)
All creation obeys His word, and we also must obey Him
He made us; we are the work of His hands. We are the main part of God’s Creation (Psalm 148)
He gave us His Holy Scripture to guide us in how we should live in this world. As written in James 4:7, if we submit ourselves to God, we need not fear anything.
Just as God finished His work and rested on the seventh day, He shows us that we also should not be lazy but work hard and fulfil our responsibilities. When we work faithfully, God’s blessings will surely follow. He also made the seventh day holy. In the Ten Commandments, in Exodus 20:8, God commands us to keep the Sabbath day holy.
So, by obeying God’s command, we must honour His name. We are the work of His hands, and we must live as a blessing, bringing glory to His name. When we live this way, we will receive God’s blessings. May God’s love always be with you. Truly, may your life shine as a part of God’s creation.
