When we ask God to heal us, He is willing to heal us. Everyone desires healing. No one wishes to live in sickness or weakness. We long to be healthy physically, and in the same way, we must also live with spiritual healing in this world. Only then can we praise God wholeheartedly. In Jeremiah 17:14, we see this heartfelt prayer: “Heal me, O Lord… save me.” This reminds us that Jesus heals when we call upon Him in faith.
Jesus Heals Through Faith – Mark 5:34
In this passage, we see a woman who suffered from bleeding for twelve long years. She had visited many doctors, spent all her money, and tried everything possible, yet nothing helped her. Finally, she placed her faith in Jesus. Though she was in a condition where she could not freely move outside her home, she heard about Jesus and believed in Him.
When Jesus came to her region, she did not miss her opportunity. With courage and faith, she touched the edge of His garment, believing that even that touch would heal her. And she was healed. Her faith brought healing into her life.
Faith means depending completely on God, trusting Him, and declaring, “You alone are my God; apart from You I have no one.” Whoever places their trust in Him experiences healing. The Word says that those who believe in His name are given the authority to become children of God. Through faith, we receive salvation and healing.
If you and your household desire salvation, believe in the Lord. When faith fills our hearts, Jesus heals. Just as the miracle happened in the life of the woman with the issue of blood, the same miracle can happen in our lives through faith.
Healing Through the Fear of the Lord – Malachi 4:2
If we want health and healing in our lives, we must first believe in God. Secondly, we must live with the fear of the Lord. The Scripture says that for those who fear His name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings.
It is not enough to have fear alone; we must also have devotion. It is not enough to have devotion alone; we must also have reverence. We must live with both fear and love toward God. Those who live with reverence for God grow stronger spiritually and experience healing.
Joseph said to his brothers, “You intended to harm me, but I fear God.” Even when he was alone, he did not say, “No one sees me.” Instead, he lived knowing that God was watching him. In the same way, we must pray, “Lord, teach me to live in the fear of You.”
When we live with holy reverence, Jesus heals our hearts and strengthens us spiritually.
Jesus Heals When We Take Refuge in Him – Psalm 91
Sickness and spiritual dryness can enter our lives just like a disease affects a plant. A diseased plant slowly loses its life from the roots until it withers away. In the same way, spiritual dryness can destroy our inner life.
Psalm 91 reminds us that under His wings we find refuge. The refuges of this world are temporary, but when we take refuge in God, we receive true healing. “The Lord is my refuge and my fortress.”
David repeatedly declared that God is a refuge for the afflicted. In times of trouble, sickness, discouragement, or loneliness, God is our stronghold. When we say, “Lord, You are my refuge,” He does not abandon us.
Just as the Good Samaritan cared for the wounded man, binding his wounds and taking him to a safe place, God cares for us when we are broken and stripped of our spiritual garments. When we come to Him, Jesus heals, restores what was lost, and lovingly embraces us under His wings.
Jesus Heals When We Praise Him – Psalm 13:3
God forgives our sins and heals all our diseases. When David praised and honoured the Lord, his troubles were turned around.
Do you desire healing? Do you want to grow spiritually strong? Then praise the Lord in every situation, whether in sorrow or joy, in hardship or comfort. Even when circumstances are painful, say, “Lord, I thank You.”
Praise invites God’s presence into our struggles. When we choose gratitude instead of complaint, healing flows into our hearts. Through sincere praise, Jesus heals and renews our strength.
God Heals When We Pray – 2 Kings 20
King Hezekiah faced a deadly illness. He turned his face toward the wall and prayed with tears. The Scripture says he wept bitterly before the Lord. God heard his prayer and saw his tears.
The Lord responded, “I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you.”
Prayer is powerful. Through prayer, we avoid the traps of the enemy and experience miracles. When we pray sincerely, even with tears, Jesus heals. Like Hezekiah, let us seek healing through earnest prayer.

Jesus Heals Through His Grace – 2 Corinthians 12:9
The Apostle Paul prayed for his suffering to be removed. He pleaded with the Lord to take away the thorn in his flesh. But God answered, “My grace is sufficient for you.”
We must learn to wait for His grace. Whatever we are today is only because of His grace. It is through grace that we are saved, and through grace that we receive healing.
When we depend on His grace, Jesus heals according to His perfect will and purpose.
Jesus Heals When We Obey – 2 Kings 5:14, Luke 17:11-19
Ten lepers cried out to Jesus for healing. He told them, “Go and show yourselves to the priest.” As they went, they were cleansed. Their obedience brought healing.
Naaman sought healing from Elisha. He was told to dip seven times in the Jordan River. At first, he resisted, but when he obeyed, his flesh was restored like that of a child.
Obedience to God’s Word brings healing. When we submit to His will, Jesus heals and restores us completely.
Jesus Heals Every Area of Our Lives
These seven steps lead us toward healing, whether physical or spiritual. Our God can heal in every way. Ask Him once, and you will see His miracles.
As God’s people, we must grow in every aspect: faith, reverence, refuge, praise, prayer, grace, and obedience. He is the God who listens when we pray. Jesus heals, He comforts us, He restores, and He strengthens us.
Remember always: when we call upon Him with a sincere heart, Jesus heals… Amen.
