Parable Of The Ten Virgins: Be Ready Befote It’s Late.

Are you truly ready for the second comming of the Lord? Greetings to all the readers in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. The parable of the ten virgins beautifully reminds us that the coming of the Lord is near and calls us to live in constant readiness.

Let us meditate on the Word of God, “The coming of the Lord is near. Therefore be patient, establish your hearts.” James 5:8

Dear beloved, the Holy Scriptures repeatedly remind us that the coming of the Lord is near. Just as His first coming was announced by an angel, “Today in the city of David a Savior has been born to you” (Luke 2:10-11) His second coming was also declared by angels.

The Promise of His Second Coming

As the disciples watched, Jesus was taken up into heaven, and a cloud hid Him from their sight. While they were looking intently into the sky, two men dressed in white stood beside them and said:

“Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:9-11

This is not just a promise – it is a certain and glorious hope.

The Church as the Bride

The Church is compared to a bride. The Church means the fellowship of believers. Just as a bride prepares herself with beautiful garments and precious ornaments, so must we be spiritually prepared.

The Word says: “He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness.” Isaiah 61:10

It is the Holy Spirit who prepares and establishes us. Just as Esther was prepared by Hegai before going to King Ahasuerus (Esther 2:12), and became queen, we too must allow the Holy Spirit to prepare us for the Lord.

Inner Beauty that Pleases God

Dear beloved, when we surrender ourselves to the Holy Spirit, we are adorned with an imperishable beauty.

“Let your adornment be the inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” 1 Peter 3:4

This inner transformation is what truly prepares us for His coming.

Parable of the Ten Virgins – A Call to Be Ready

Are you ready for His coming? Like how the wise virgins in Parable of the Ten Virgins.

The Kingdom of Heaven is like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. All ten had lamps. All were invited. All were waiting with expectation. But when the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

At midnight, a cry rang out: “Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!”

They all woke up and trimmed their lamps. But five of them found that their lamps were going out because they had no oil. These were the foolish virgins. They asked the wise virgins to share their oil, but they refused, saying there would not be enough for both. So the foolish virgins went to buy oil but it was too late.

The wise virgins, who had brought extra oil in their vessels, were ready. They entered the wedding feast with the bridegroom. “And the door was shut.” We can see The parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25:10 Those who were not prepared were left outside in darkness.

parable of the ten virgins

Living in the Last Days so allways we remember in to this Parable of the Ten Virgins

We are living in the last days. Let us be ready. Just as we are reminded in the parable of the ten virgins, We must stay watchful and prepared.

Do not forget this one thing, dear friends “With the Lord, one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.” 2 Peter 3:8

The Lord is patient, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9-10).

Dear beloved, let us remain patient and steadfast. Let us prepare our hearts daily and stay filled with the Holy Spirit, just like the wise virgins in the parable of the ten virgins.

Let us not delay our preparation. As we are reminded again in the parable of the ten virgins, let us not be found empty.

May God grant us the grace to wait faithfully and be ready for His glorious coming.
