Rejoice in Jesus Christ, YES, everyone rejoiced in Jesus Christ. On that glorious day, the angel of God announced the good news about the birth of Jesus Christ to Mary, Joseph, the wise men, and the shepherds, through divine messages and through the star. They were filled with great joy.
The very thought that Jesus Christ, our Lord, was born into this world for us fills our hearts with joy. Especially during this Christmas season, as we repeatedly hear and reflect on the birth of Jesus Christ, our hearts overflow with happiness and gladness. Rejoice in Jesus Christ.
When someone asks us, “What is Christmas truly about?” Why we rejoice in Jesus Christ, we say, Christmas is about worshipping God, so we rejoice in Jesus Christ
Yes, how can we not worship the God who came into this world for our sake?
But the most important truth we must understand is this:
There is no difference between anyone. The Bible says in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
All humanity has lost God’s glory. There is no distinction between you and me. We were unworthy to receive God’s glory. Through sin, we became separated from God. God is holy. Because He is holy and hates sin, He must judge sin. There is no sin in Him.
We were spiritually dead because of our sins and transgressions. Yet, to restore our broken relationship with Him, God Himself came into this world in human form, for you and for me. To take away our sinful nature and our sinful actions, God came as a man and redeemed us through His grace.
What a joy this is! Always Rejoice in Jesus Christ. This is the true meaning of Christmas. When we give Him a place in our hearts and live daily in the experience of Christmas, our hearts overflow with eternal, heavenly joy. What a joy in Jesus Christ. This is purely because of the grace He has shown toward us. In this joyful season, let us dive into the Holy Scriptures to know more.
The Month of Joy – Rejoice in Him
Yes, as soon as December arrives, our hearts are filled with great joy. Even though the past eleven months may have been filled with worries, struggles, pain, and restless situations, the Christmas season brings a special happiness into our lives. During this season, joy is not only seen in our hearts but also in our homes, our churches, and our fellowship. Everywhere, the joy of Christmas shines brightly. The thought that God Himself was born for us, and that He came into this world to forgive our sins, fills our hearts with deep and lasting joy. December itself reminds us of Christmas. Christmas reminds us of joy, celebration, and hope. Indeed, Christmas is all about joyfulness. So rejoice in Jesus Christ.

The Joyful Saviour – Wonderful Counselor
The name Jesus means “Saviour.” Before His birth, the angel of God revealed this name to Mary and Joseph. Sin brings sorrow, pain, and suffering. But Jesus, the Joyful Saviour, delivers us from sin and fills the sinner’s heart with joy. He saved the sinful woman (Luke 7:50). When Peter was sinking and cried out, “Lord, save me,” Jesus immediately rescued him (Matthew 14:30). He saved Zacchaeus and declared his house a house of salvation (Luke 19:9). His heart rejoiced in Jesus Christ.
Jesus came into this world to seek and save the lost. Because He saved the Samaritan woman, many Samaritans believed that Jesus was the Saviour of the world. The angel announced to the shepherds, Today, a Saviour has been born to you; this is good news of great joy (Luke 2:10). Through the birth of the Saviour, joy entered the world. That is why He is called the Joyful Saviour. With joy, you will draw water from the wells of salvation (Isaiah 12:3) and rejoice in jesus christ. He saves us from sin, sickness, troubles, suffering, curses, and sorrow and replaces them with joy. We must become a people who praise him, glorify him, honour him and rejoice in Jesus Christ.
The River of Joy Always Rejoice in Jesus Christ
“You give them drink from Your river of delights” (Psalm 36:8). God satisfies His people with abundance from His house and allows them to drink from His river of joy. The river of God is full, and the river of the Joyful Saviour overflows with delight. For those whose tears have been their food day and night (Psalm 42:3), God gives them to drink from His river of joy. Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.
God removes the cup of wrath and gives us the cup of joy. He leads us to springs of living water, where there will be no more hunger, thirst, or tears (Revelation 7:16,17).
Joy as a Belt Around the Waist
The hills are clothed with gladness” (Psalm 65:12). Rejoice in Jesus Christ (Psalm 32:11). Those who bind the Joyful Saviour as a belt around their waist will not remain bent, broken, or discouraged. They will stand upright and strong. Only when we gird ourselves with joy will lamps of joy shine through our lives. Those who are bound to the Lord with joy will not collapse under sorrow. Everything around them will shout for joy (Psalm 65:13). “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5).
The Oil of Joy
You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of joy” (Psalm 45:7). Those who love righteousness cannot love wickedness; they hate it. Because of this, they receive the anointing of the oil of joy above others. When David was anointed by the prophet Samuel, he was exalted above his brothers. Those anointed with the oil of joy spread a pleasant fragrance (Psalm 45:8).
The Joyful Saviour wipes away every tear and places everlasting joy upon their heads. Sorrow and sighing will flee away (Isaiah 35:10).
The Crown of Joy is a Blessing.
For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory?” (1 Thessalonians 2:19) Paul considered the Thessalonian church his crown of joy. The father’s crown of joy was his lost son who returned home.
“As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you” (Isaiah 62:5). A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband (Proverbs 12:4). Likewise, we must become a crown of joy to the Joyful Saviour. Those who walk in righteousness lift their heads high, and only such people can wear the crown of joy; they always rejoice in Jesus Christ.
The City of Joy / The House of Joy – Rejoice Comes From
Wherever the salvation of the Joyful Saviour enters, that house becomes a house of joy, and that city becomes a city of joy. When Jesus entered Samaria, the entire town became joyful. “The desert and the parched land will be glad” (Isaiah 35:1–2). The homes of Jairus, Lazarus, Mary, and Martha were transformed into houses of joy by the presence of the Joyful Saviour (Matthew 9:23; John 11). In the presence of the Lord, there is fullness of joy. Those who rejoice in the jesus christ will enter the land of joy.
May this Christmas season, the child Jesus Christ grant you all the blessing of: being anointed with the oil of joy, drinking from the river of joy, wearing the crown of joy, and entering the city of joy, through the presence of the Joyful Saviour. Rejoice in Jesus Christ, Amen.
